Our Tinplate Coil (Electrolytic Tinplate, or ETP) is a cold-rolled low-carbon steel sheet coated on both sides with commercially pure tin. This advanced composite material combines the structural strength, ductility, and formability of premium structural steel with the exceptional rust resistance, non-toxicity, and sleek metallic appearance of pure tin.
Each Tinplate Coil is manufactured in a weight range of 3 to 10 tons, making it perfectly optimized for continuous, high-speed automated slitting and canning lines. By maintaining a highly stable mechanical uniformity across the entire length of the coil, we ensure that modern manufacturing plants in developing regions experience minimal down-time, reduced tool wear, and flawless deep-drawing performance during the can-making process.
Superior Food-Grade Safety: Fully compliant with international food safety standards, our tin coating acts as an inert barrier. It is completely non-toxic and prevents any chemical reactions between the steel substrate and acidic, alkaline, or sulfur-rich food matrices.
High Mechanical Strength: Engineered to withstand heavy vacuum sealing pressures and rigorous thermal sterilization processes (retorting). This prevents can deformation, buckling, or vacuum loss during long-distance maritime and overland transport.
Exceptional Corrosion Resistance: Equipped with specialized, uniform electrolytic tin coatings. This ensures a prolonged shelf-life for the end product, even when stored in high-humidity and high-temperature environments typical of Southeast Asia and equatorial Africa.
Flawless Coating & Printing Finish: The pristine surface topography of our tinplate coils guarantees outstanding adhesion for organic lacquers, protective epoxies, and multi-color lithographic printing. Ideal for vibrant, eye-catching consumer branding.

Food Packaging Cans: Perfect for 2-piece and 3-piece cans containing high-acid fruits, vegetables, fish (sardines, tuna), tomato paste, evaporated milk, baby formula, and processed meats.
Beverage Containers: Used extensively for juice cans, carbonated beverage tops, tea cans, and energy drink containers.
Easy-Open Ends (EOE) & Crowns: The precision temper properties enable clean stamping, forming, and scoring for easy-open pull tabs, twist-off caps, luggage-tag components, and aerosol valve cups.
Differential Tin Coating: We can apply a thicker coating on the internal side (e.g., 5.6g/m² for internal corrosion resistance against aggressive food acids) and a lighter coating on the outside (e.g., 2.8g/m² for cost efficiency), passing significant raw material savings directly to you.
Custom Slitting & Width Tailoring: Coils can be custom-slit down to narrow widths to bypass intermediate processing, feeding directly into your multi-die stamping machinery.
Tailored Tempering: From the ultra-ductile T1/T2 grades needed for complex deep-drawn components to the highly rigid, double-reduced (DR) grades for ultra-thin lightweight down-gauged modern cans.
Q1: Why is a coil weight of 3-10 tons advantageous for your target markets?
A1: A 3-10 ton coil weight provides the perfect balance between material continuity and local logistical capabilities. It is heavy enough to minimize coil-changeover downtime on high-speed lines, yet compatible with standard 10-ton overhead cranes and forklifts widely used across warehouses in Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.
Q2: How do you prevent rust and corrosion during maritime shipping to tropical regions?
A2: All our Tinplate Coils undergo specialized surface oiling (using food-grade DOS oil) and are wrapped in multi-layered export packing: moisture-resistant anti-rust paper, heavy-duty structural steel sheets, inner and outer protective steel rings, and tightly secured with multiple high-tensile steel straps over palletized bases.
Q3: Is your Tinplate Coil compliant with international safety certificates for food contact?
A3: Yes, our products are completely compliant with JIS G3303 and international food safety benchmarks (FDA, SGS, and ISO certifications). We supply an official Mill Test Certificate (MTC) with every shipment, verifying chemical composition, mechanical properties, and tin coating density.
